18th Century Canton Blue and White Chinese Porcelain Tea Bowl Saucer
This beautifully detailed Nanking Chinese Export Porcelain dish made during the Qing Dynasty features a traditional pavilion and landscape theme with the houses, willow trees, a river, birds and boat in vivid cobalt blue. It is distinguished as "Nanking" by the diaper border outlined with the spearheads and the quality of decoration that separates it from the typical Canton ware. The upper rim is painted with a protective Batavian glaze, which was a common feature on Nanking porcelain exports. This hand painted bowl is well preserved mainly showing signs of age and wear on the foot rim. There are a few rust spots within the decoration and other small imperfections consistent with age. The piece is not marked but is thought to date to the Qianlong period based on the style of decoration, the form of the dish, and the signs of age. Please see Gotheborg's Chinese Blue and White Export section for comparison and verification. The dish has a diameter of a little more than 5 inches.

There is no obvious damage to the bowl. I took the pictures in varying levels of light and different angles to show the different perspectives created by changing settings. There are also multiple shots of the foot rim to assist in your evaluation.
